This deliciously rich coffee comes from a small island in Indonesia, grown at altitudes of 900 – 2,000 meters above sea level. Coffee production on the island of Sumatra is thought to have begun around 1884, near Lake Toba, which is the largest volcanic lake in the world.

The taste of the coffee from Sumatra is often described as earthy, creamy, chocolaty, and even mush roomy and has noticeably low acidity.

The rich, volcanic soil and unusual wet hulling process make this coffee among the world’s finest coffee treasures.

The advancing destruction of tropical rainforests is threatening the existence of both Orang Utans and Farmers alike. The Orang Utan Coffee Project helps farmers operate ecologically, friendly coffee plantations without clearing rainforests. FOR MORE INFORMATION: https://orangutan.coffee/en/
